Memorial Day!

We actually celebrated Memorial Day with Adam, Jessica, Jaris, James, Kyra, Kjersten, Brent, Jenny, Devan, Madison, Andrew, Ellie, and Ryan yesterday at Jenny's home. We had a yummy BBQ with all the fixin's and the best Ice Cream dessert ever made! The weather was a little cool, but that didn't stop us from having lunch outside! After lunch the 3-Wii challenge began! Yep, we had three Wii's set up at Jenny's house with competitions on Mario Kart. It was hilarious! The kids are actually really good! It was a great day together.

Then today we went to the park for a little while with Jenny, Andrew, Ellie and Ryan - the sweaters were only necessary while the sun hid behind the clouds, but that also didn't stop Andrew and Ellie from running in the sprinklers at the park and getting soaking wet! It was fun to spend the day with them playing and having a good time as well.

Happy Birthday Matt! - the big 3-0!

It seems like this month is full of birthdays! We celebrated Matt and Kjersten's birthdays on Sunday with the Eckersleys and Dunyons, and boy was it fun...and hot!! But it's always fun to get together and eat and play, and that's what we did. We had lots of chocolate to eat for dessert, too - I made this chocolate raspberry ganache cake from Emeril Lagasse's recipe on Food Network...and it turned out pretty yummy! Matt and Kjersten ended up with lots of loot as well - they must be loved!

Because we celebrated Matt's birthday a day early, I had to do something fun for his actual birthday, so when he got home, Matt had a treasure hunt waiting for him. He had to search all over the house following clues for his last birthday present...Scott helped me hide it.
And happy birthday to Kevin!! His birthday is the same day as Matt's birthday; we hope you had a fun day!

And of course I can't post on this blog without putting the latest pictures of Scott...so here you go! Our little chubby boy is 5 months old today!!

Happy Birthday Emma!

We had a fun and crazy weekend here! Aaron and Brooke came up for Brooke's brother's wedding so while they were away we got to play! Mom and Dad also came to help watch the girls, so we got lots of play time with them as well...and Dad even helped the babies take naps. Emma's 3rd birthday bash went off well with homemade pizza and lots of balloons and topped off with a very cute and impressively made crown birthday cake. Well done Brooke! We opened presents and had lots of fun running around - I think everyone including the adults passed out around 8:00 that night.

Mother's Day was an ever so slightly quieter event, but just as fun nonetheless. It was great to have Mom and Dad here to celebrate Mom. I think she is the most wonderful Mom in the world and couldn't do without her friendship and love. You can tell what kind of Mom she is when you look at how all of us have turned out - congrats Mom, we are all so happy where we are, and it's thanks to you and Dad. Love you!
