Welcome to the Family!

Well, he had to come sooner or later. After 15 hours of labor, Jill gave birth to a handsome Scott Matthew Fowers! The featherweight weighed in at 5 lbs. 11 ounces. His amazing height reaches 18 inches long and was born at 7:24am! The delivery went pretty smooth, with little to no complications. Both Jill and Scott are doing very well and getting some much needed sleep. Oh yeah, and Dad is doing well too :). We hope you enjoy the pictures and we look forward to your visits and phone calls!

We're at the hospital!

Jill went in for her weekly check-up today at around 2pm. The doctor said that the baby wasn't growing anymore due to the lack of space in Jill's belly. So he said that it would be best if they induced labor a little early. So the Doctor did a "balloon insertion" and made an appointment for Jill to give birth at 11am on the 20Th. The Doctor said that in rare cases (15%) the balloon insertion can induce labor earlier than expected. So at 4:30 Jill came home from doing some Christmas shopping for me :) and started having contractions about 15 minutes apart. I rushed home from work, picked her up, said goodbye to Sophie and rushed off to the hospital. So here we are at the hospital. Jill has be admitted, given an epidural and now it's just a waiting game. She continues to do well and we are both anxious for this baby to bless our lives. We thank all of you who have kept us in your prayers. We will keep you up to date with pictures as soon as the baby arrives!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree...

This is the first year we didn't buy real Christmas tree, so we went out and got a fake one - Sorry Jared. Let me tell ya, fake is the way to go - no messy tree, no needles piling up, no bugs in your house, you get the point. We are truly blessed this holiday season as we are about to have our first child, what better Christmas present could you ask for? We pray that this holiday season may be extra special for you and your family as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. We thank you all for your love and friendship, and wish you all a merry Christmas! -Matt & Jill & Sophie

Is Jill REALLY pregnant?

Picture taken 12/15/2007 - Crazy huh?

posted by the proud papa!

P.S. You think some people will come up to us and say after the baby is born, " I never knew you were pregnant?"

In case you haven't heard...

Jill and I have been busy the last few months with a new business we just started up called Timeless Memories. It's a videography business that specializes in video transfer (VHS to DVD) and autobiographical video interviews that can be used to supplement journals and historical records. We've definitely had our growing pains with our computer programs giving us fits, but in the end it's been enjoyable to see people view their old videos and bring back old memories. If you know someone who you think would be interested, let us know!

P.S. the logo is actually a symbol that means to remember your past.

Two weeks left till baby Fowers arrives!

WOW! Can you believe it? Nine months has never gone by so fast - although I think Jill would disagree with me on that one :) . Jill is due on December 27th, with an induction scheduled for the 28th, so no Christmas travel plans for us. Jill continues to have a successful pregnancy, with little to no complications so far. We are so very grateful & blessed to have this baby come into our lives, it's something that we have been praying for. The Lord has his own timetable, and we are indeed grateful at this time of year. We will keep you all up to date as "D-Day" quickly approaches!
